Spurs have recently found themselves in an injury crisis. First-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has been sidelined for a while now, with Fraser Foster stepping up. However, the veteran keeper’s performances have been sub-par, causing Spurs to target another keeper. To make things worse, Foster was also unavailable against Newcastle United due to illness, forcing Ange Postecoglou to start Brandon Austin. This was the 25-year-old Englishman’s first senior competitive game for Tottenham.

The North London side have reacted quickly to the goalkeeping crisis, with Kinsky likely to start until Vicario recovers from injury. However, with Vicario having faced plenty of criticism this season, strong displays by Kinsky could see the youngster keep his place in the starting lineup.

Kinsky has plenty of experience in senior-level football despite being 21. The Czech keeper has made over 80 appearances and has been in good form for Slavia this season. In his 19 starts this season, Kinsky has kept 13 clean sheets, conceding just six goals. Additionally, the youngster boasts a save percentage of 80%.

Football also runs in his blood. His father, also called Antonin Kinsky, is a former professional footballer who amassed over 350 senior appearances for various clubs and represented the Czech Republic on the international level five times. Although his son has yet to make his senior internal debut, it will only be a matter of time before he does so. Kinsky has been capped at various youth levels for the Czech Republic and is bound to make his senior debut this year following strong performances at the club level.

21-year-old Kinsky is likely to make his debut against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on January 9.
