According to recent reports, Manchester United have incessantly grown their interest in signing Matthijs De Ligt from Juventus. The 20-year-old young defender from Netherlands is being wanted by the Red Devils.
Reports also claim that Paul Pogba could return back to his former club and Manchester United will be involved in a swap deal with Juventus for Matthijs De Ligt.
Both the players have had their problems playing for their club. While De Ligt has suffered to shine through in his first season at Seria A, Paul Pogba has been hassling around with Manchester United board for a move.
The 20-year-old arrived to Juventus from Ajax at £67.5 million but is yet to repay the sum. Paul Pogba too has made only 8 appearances under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and has his position threatened by the arrival of Bruno Fernandes.
Manchester United are asking around £150 million for Paul Pogba but will lower their price if they are to get Matthijs De Ligt in return.
We all know that Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is a big fan of De Ligt and still considers the youngster as one of the best in business. United need a quality centre-back with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling about to leave their squad.
The reports are weak but such a transfer is highly likely considering the need of Juventus and Manchester United.
