ESPN journalist David Faitelson claims that Manchester City have rejected an initial $11m offer from Chivas for highly-rated forward Uriel Antuna.
Antuna is on loan with LA Galaxy and his impressive tally of six goals and six assists in thirty-one appearances has sparked suggestions that LA Galaxy will look to rather turn this temporary move into a permanent one.
Though Galaxy aren’t they only team keen on his services as reports link the Mexican to his homeland club Chivas (C.D. Guadalajara) as well as Benfica and it appears that the former have taken an early advantage in pursuit of his services launching an opening bid for the 22-year-old.

Chivas’ offer of $11 million was far from enough to convince City to sell him as they want more for the Mexican forward believing his value has escalated after his impressive fuss for LA Galaxy as well as for Mexico in Gold Cup.
Chivas will have to sign a big cheque if they want to get their countryman, though it will need to beat Galaxy’s stand as their General Manager Dennis Te Kloese confirmed earlier this week that they have an agreement in place with City to match any bids for Antuna.
