Broja initially joined Chelsea’s youth system in 2009. He progressed quickly and was promoted to the first team in 2022. Despite Chelsea’s awareness of his potential, he struggled to establish himself at Stamford Bridge.

He spent the last 18 months on loan. During the 2024/25 season, the 23-year-old was loaned to Everton. However, the move was unsuccessful due to fitness issues, limiting him to only 11 appearances.

Although he has three years left on his contract, Broja is not part of current manager Enzo Maresca’s plans. Chelsea’s recent forward signings have further reduced his chances. As a result, Broja’s representatives have been actively seeking a new club for him.

Chelsea are willing to negotiate his departure for the right price. While multiple clubs showed interest, Burnley have demonstrated the most serious pursuit. The Clarets are aiming to strengthen their attack to ensure they have enough quality to remain in the Premier League.
