Tag: Enzo Maresca

Enzo Maresca is an Italian head coach who succeeded Pep Guardiola at Manchester City in the summer of 2026, signing a three year contract. A former midfielder who played in Italy, Spain and England, he learned his trade under Guardiola as part of the City coaching staff, then led Leicester City to the Championship title in 2023-24.

He later took over at Chelsea, where he won the Conference League and the Club World Cup, before leaving the Blues. Maresca favours patient build up play, flexible full backs who move into midfield and a structured approach to controlling matches with the ball.
