Leicester City will take on high-flying Brighton and Hove Albion at the King Power Stadium this weekend.
With the Foxes winning their first game under newly appointed manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy, the hosts will be keen to make it two home victories in a week. However, beating Brighton will be difficult, with the Seagulls sitting fifth in the league standings and challenging for a UEFA Champions League spot.
Here’s the predicted Leicester City lineup to face Brighton on December 7.
Goalkeeper
Mads Hermansen
Hermansen was at his very best against West Ham United earlier this week. He’s the first name on the team sheet and is arguably Leicester’s player of the season so far.
Defenders
James Justin, Conor Coady, Jannik Vestergaard, Victor Kristiansen
Van Nistelrooy dropped Wout Faes for Conor Coady against West Ham, and although the Foxes were lucky to only concede one goal, the backline looked more solid with the veteran centre-back. Coady and Vestergaard have plenty of experience, but their lack of pace will be an area of concern for Leicester.
Midfielders
Boubakary Soumare, Wilfred Ndidi, Bilal El Khannouss
The trio started the last game and were excellent. Soumare and Ndidi played in a midfield pivot and were strong defensively while spreading play well. Playing slightly ahead, El Khannouss had his best game in a Leicester shirt. The youngster got a goal and an assist, showing why the Foxes paid so much for him.
Forwards
Kasey McAteer, Jamie Vardy, Stephy Mavididi
Facundo Buonanotte is ineligible to play against his parent club and will miss this fixture. The Brighton loanee has been a bright spark in the Leicester attack, and Van Nistelrooy may choose to bring in Stephy Mavididi to replace him. Vardy will lead the line, with Patson Daka likely to come on in the second half.
