Brighton & Hove Albion fans may well have had the last look of Alexis Mac Allister and Moisés Caicedo in their Blue & White jersey. The Seagulls manager Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that it was both midfielders’ last game for the club, perhaps indicating their transfer to bigger teams.

The pair was part of Brighton’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa where the Argentine World Cup winner Mac Allister performed the full 90 minutes with Caicedo only featuring for around 45 minutes. Finishing in the sixth position, Brighton has already penned their name in UEFA Europa League for next season.

Despite it being a stunning campaign for the Seagulls fan they are unfortunate enough to have to let go of both their favourite.

De Zerbi confirmed both were set to leave the club: “Yes, I think it can be the last game for Alexis and Moises Caicedo. I am really sorry because they are two great people and two great players but the policy of Brighton is like this.”

“It is right that they can leave, they can play at a higher level. People believe Alexis is a fantastic player, but as a man he is better than the player.”

“I’m really sorry if we lose him, if we lose Moises Caicedo, but players like this deserve to play at another level, another level in terms of competition, in terms of importance of the club, prestige of the club.”

PremierLeagueNewsNow understands that a £70 million deal from Liverpool is on the cards for the World Cup winner. The Merseyside club after having a disappointing campaign are looking to revamp their squad and fill in the gaps created by the exit of James Milner, Firmino, Naby Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Liverpool are keen on signing the Argentine and it is just a matter of time before we may see him holding the matters for Jurgen Klopp.

Moises Caicedo, on the other hand, has gained interest from all the big names in Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal with the Gunners being a firm favourite for signing the Ecuadorian midfielder. However, Brighton is yet to hear offers for the 21-year-old sensation.
