Keane Lewis-Potter is a 21-year-old English winger born in Hull, and has Pundits talking about him already because of the amazing Championship campaign he had with Hull City.
A player who has come of age here at Hull City, since the very beginning, and is suddenly getting top-tier offers for his future; there must be something about him. Keane has been a very lethal winger, even at his academy, he would just take on the defences all by himself. According to his academy coach, he would just get the ball on the left-hand side in his own half and would dribble pass and cut in on his strong right foot, before pile-driving a curler or a thunderbolt beyond the stranded keeper.

The above goal scored by KLP is the best example of his Hazard-esque playstyle. Making darting runs from the deep so that the teammates can get ample amount of time to deliver a looping ball over the opposition’s defence and then the rest is all about his composure. And that, my friends, is the beauty of Lewis-Potter’s gameplay- his composure!
And he showcased it in the Championship for Hull City, in the last season. KLP scored 12 goals and provided another 4 assists in just 46 Championship games, as the local hero did the Tigers proudly. No wonder, that a youngster of such a high reputation is finally being linked with the bigger clubs and even Premier League clubs.

According to multiple reports (by The Athletic, Hull Daily Mail), Keane Lewis-Potter is on the verge of leaving his local boyhood club- Hull City. The Hull-born winger has just one year left on his current contract, and it seems that the best move for all the parties is a move away for the 21-year-old, if a good offer comes knocking at his footsteps.
Way back, during the winter transfer window, KLP attracted a host of clubs- with him being linked to Tottenham, West Ham, Brentford, Leicester, and Southampton. Now it seems as if it is just Brentford left in the race to get his hands on the England U21 International. Hull Daily Mail have reported that Thomas Frank (Brentford manager) is a keen admirer of the young winger, for a very long time now. So much so that the Bees manager has seen his bids turned down by the Tigers on two previous occasions. It is believed that Brentford could move in quickly on this, with a bid worth around £16m plus £4m in add-ons.
“Hopefully sooner rather than later we have a new player or new players who I can speak about and tell in detail how excited I am to work with them, to develop them and push them to the next level, in the way they can improve and help the team,” Thomas Frank told the club’s YouTube channel. Some fans see it as a hint to the Keane Lewis-Potter links, but it seems only time will tell where the Hull City prodigy will land. However may it end, it would be the best long term signing for whosoever get their hands on this winger!
