Manchester United’s long-awaited overhaul is looking to be at last initiated as the Premier League giants look set to dispose of fringe elements of their squad in a bid to strengthen their bid to challenge for the Premier League title.

Jesse Lingard has been identified as the first of many to be shown the door. And it seems Lingard’s long stay at Manchester United seems like coming to an end with Ole Gunnar Solskjær willing to listen to offers for the Englishman. Lingard has struggled for form and game time under the Norwegian this season as he has racked up only 22 appearances with just one goal contribution all season in the form a goal on the last day of the Premier League season which helped United qualify for the Champions League.

The 27-year-old’s future looks bleak at Old Trafford with the arrival and instant impact of Bruno Fernandes who has set the Premier League on fire with a string of impressive performances. And with the Portuguese international occupying the No.10 spot in Solskjær’s set-up.

With another poor season under his belt the hierarchy at Old Trafford is believed to have given up on the once highly-rated youngster. Lingard has only racked seven goal contributions in the last two seasons with just four goals and three assists. He’s averaging only 1.63 key passes per 90 minutes this season which is close to what Bruno Fernandes has been able to achieve in his short stay at Manchester United. Jesse Lingard’s exit from Manchester United has been long delayed in the eyes of Red Devils fans but it seems Lingard is finally on his way out.
