Liverpool are set to move a step closer to clinching the 2019-20 Premier League title when they travel to Vicarage Road to play struggling Watford.

With a 22 points gap, the Reds have a chance to secure more advantage over second placed Manchester City – who play Aston Villa in the League Cup final.

Watford are looking to put a stop to a six-game winless run in all competitions since beating Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in January.

Liverpool won the reverse league by two goals to nothing at Anfield in December and are yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this season.

A win for Watford could lift them above the relegation with Aston Villa not playing this weekend and move their points tally to 27.

WHEN AND WHERE?

Venue: Vicarage Road
Date: Saturday, February 29
Time: 5:30 PM

Watford are winless in their last eight Premier League meetings with Liverpool (D1 L7), losing each of the last four by an aggregate of 0-15.

Under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool have scored more Premier League goals against Watford than they have vs any other side in the competition (27 in nine games)

At least one side has scored three goals in five of the six Premier League meetings between Watford and Liverpool at Vicarage Road, with the exception being 1-0 win for Liverpool in May 2017.

Watford-Manchester-United

Since beating Liverpool 2-1 on the final day of the 1982-83 season, Watford have lost 15 of their 16 top-flight matches against sides top of the table (D1), including each of the last 13 in a row.

Liverpool have won their last 18 Premier League games; another win would guarantee them a new record for most consecutive victories in English top-flight history.
