Thiago Almada: The new name on Manchester United’s radar

Argentine professional Thiago Almada has emerged as a target for Manchester United in the last few days according to reports.

Thiago Almada, born on April 26, 2001 has been added to the wishlist of the Manchester club as they look to build a squad for the long term project.

The Argentina Under-20 international was also featured in The Guardian’s “Next Generation 2018”, while many have likened his play to one of football’s biggest stars Lionel Messi.

The teenager plays as a winger for Velez Sarsfield in the Argentine Primera Division but can also provide cover in the midfield area.


Solskjaer has been reported to be a huge fan of the youngster and is looking to add to his youthful squad the 19-year-old prospect.

Ed Woodward has taken initial measures and already made contact with the player’s entourage with a fee of around £16 million reported to be involved, reports Tuttomercatoweb.

Since his debut in 2018, the Velez Sarsfield attacking midfielder has netted on nine occasions for the club while also providing four assists across all competitions.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid have also been touted as part of the many European clubs who are looking to give the player a spotlight per reports from Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo.
