Jack Clarke impressing at Stoke City!

Signed for £10m, Jack Clarke is now on his third loan spell; this time it is Stoke City.

After signing for Tottenham Hotspur, Clarke rejoined Leeds United on a loan but made just three appearances and incoming Spurs boss Jose Mourinho recalled the player owing to a lack of playing at Elland Road. He was then again loaned out to local rivals Queens Park Rangers on a six-month loan deal.

And after failing to break through starting XI at Tottenham, the gem was loaned out for a third time for the rest of the Championship season to Stoke City. He has hit the ground running for Stoke with the Potters fighting for a playoff spot for promotion to the English top flight. His manager has heaped praise on him saying,

“I thought he was very good. You can see straight away his ability on the ball. He can handle the ball very well. I thought he linked very well with Nathan Collins on that side and Joe Allen. That’s two very young players who handled it very well against two very good players on that side. It was a good start from Jack. In the three games since he’s come in he’s shown great quality and I think he can add something to us.”

In his latest match against Stoke, his stat-line looked like this,

passes attempted: 35
passing accuracy: 85.7%
aerials won: 2
successful crosses: 2
dribbles attempted: 2

It’s a long way to go for young Jack Clarke but at least now he is getting some starts and this loan will surely help him build confidence for the future.
