Fabian Hurzeler is the German head coach of Brighton and Hove Albion, born in the United States and raised in Germany. He was a young coach on the rise at FC St. Pauli, whom he guided into the Bundesliga, before the Seagulls appointed him in 2024 at 31, making him the youngest manager in Premier League history at the time.

Hurzeler likes a possession based, proactive approach with a lot of rotation in midfield and aggressive pressing when the ball is lost. Brighton’s recruitment model continues to supply him with young talent, and his willingness to give opportunities to teenagers fits the club’s identity.

Here you can follow every Brighton story we publish in 2026-27: Hurzeler’s press conference quotes, transfer rumours around the Amex, injury updates and tactical breakdowns of how his team build up from the back.
