Tag: Enzo Fernandez
Enzo Fernandez is an Argentine midfielder who joined Manchester City from Chelsea at the end of the 2026 summer window. He started at River Plate, moved to Benfica and won the World Cup with Argentina in 2022, where he was named the tournament’s best young player, before Chelsea signed him in January 2023.
Fernandez is a technical, progressive passer who sets the tempo from deep and can pick a pass from distance. At City, working under Enzo Maresca, he joins a squad that prizes control, and he brings a different kind of range to the Etihad midfield.
Premier League News Now tracks his new chapter. This page gathers the latest Manchester City news, injury updates, transfer stories and analysis of how Fernandez is settling in, including how he combines with his midfield team mates and his role for Argentina.
