The reigning champions of England Manchester City will travel to Southampton as they look forward to continue the momentum after an impressive displaying against the newly crowned champions Liverpool.

The Citizens produced some of the finest quality of football on the day as thrashed Liverpool 4-0 as they look forward to start their preparations early for next season.

Southampton will look to continue their quest for finishing as high as possible after defeating The Hornets 3-1 after their tailsman Danny Ings continued his amazing form in the league and now has 18 goals for the campaign with six games to go.

Southampton’s ex captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who continues to be linked with a move away to Tottenham Hotspur, is unlikely to play with an ankle problem. Sofiane Boufal is also out with a thigh injury but may be fit enough to make the match day squad, while Moussa Djenepo and Jack Stephens are back in the team having served their respective suspensions.

Pep Guardiola will have their vice captain Fernandinho back after the Brazilian’s one-match suspension. Sergio Aguero is the only player out of the match day squad due to a knee injury.
