If reports are to believed than Crystal Palace are set to add Queens Park Rangers’ Eberechi Eze in a deal worth around £19.5million with £14.5million provided upfront and the rest £5 million in various add-ons. Eze has been as one of the most promising talents in the Championship this season and he’s set for a move to the Premier League with the Eagles.

Eberechi Eze is a 22-year-old Nigerian who plays his trade in the English Championship, which is primarily the second tier of English football. Eze is an attacking midfielder/winger who can play anywhere across the front three and even in the midfield and as a second striker if required.

The Nigerian’s sudden rise has been buoyant by his impressive performances as he had scored 14 goals and provided 8 assists in 46 appearances in which he played 4063 minutes of football.

Eze was providing 1.8 key passes per game and completing 1.2 successful crosses and 1.7 Succesful long balls per game while he was averaging 37.5 passes per game with a pass accuracy of 86.5%.

On the attacking front, Eze was averaging 2.2 shots on goals while also completing three succesful dribbles per game. He was winning 2.3 fouls per match that he played. Eze is seen as one of the more skilful dribblers of the game while his ability to create an impact through set-pieces isn’t the worst in the game.

He likes taking shots from a long-range and has a better conversion rate than most. His ability to hold up the ball also helps the team to build as Eze is able to bring his teammates into the game.

However, his defensive contribution is what brings him the most scrutiny and his lack of aerial presence doesn’t make a threat in the box.

While Eberechi Eze is still a raw talent would need some help from the very experienced Roy Hodgson to make the best of his talent, Crystal Palace are still looking like getting ane exciting player for not a huge sum.
