Rangers are actively engaged in discussions with Brighton & Hove Albion over the potential loan signing of Senegalese forward Abdallah Sima,  deal is now almost confirmed.

With Rangers manager Michael Beale aiming to bolster his attacking options for the upcoming 2023-24 season, the Scottish giants are keen on securing the services of the talented youngster.

Rangers’ pursuit of Sima comes at a crucial time as they look to freshen up their attacking options following the departures of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent. With Antonio Colak, who enjoyed an impressive debut season with 18 goals, attracting interest, manager Michael Beale is determined to strengthen his forward line.

Should the deal materialize, Sima would join Kemar Roofe, Fashion Sakala, and new signing Sam Lammers as Rangers’ attacking options for the upcoming season. The club has been proactive in the transfer market, securing deals for Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell, and Jack Butland as they aim to challenge Celtic’s dominance in Scottish football.

Rangers’ fans received a boost with Four Lads Had a Dream, a prominent club insider and trusted source of news, confirming that the move for Abdallah Sima is a “confirmed go.” This revelation further reinforces the belief that Rangers are leading the race to secure the talented forward, generating excitement among the club’s faithful.

Having joined Brighton from Slavia Prague in 2021 for a fee of approximately £6.9 million, the lightning-fast forward is yet to make an appearance for the South Coast club. Sima spent previous loan spells at Stoke City and Angers, where he showcased glimpses of his potential but struggled for consistent output.

The 22-year-old Senegalese international made 37 appearances on loan at  Angers in Ligue 1 last season, registering six goals and two assists. Despite the club’s relegation to Ligue 2, Sima still showed his quality at points and possesses ample time to develop and fulfill his potential with the right guidance.

However, it appears that Sima does not feature in the plans of Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi for the upcoming campaign so Rangers could be the perfect place for him to build his game and eventually return for a run at the Albion.
