Well that did not take a long time to clarify, did it? Just hours after the Newcastle United home jersey had been leaked, the club officially released the kits.
The new Puma made Newcastle home jersey will be used in the Premier League during the 2020/21 campaign but will will get its first taste of top flight action when Newcastle play Liverpool in their final game of the season on Sunday.
Supporters of the club are also expected to have access to purchase the jersey on the same day.
As reportedly earlier, this could be the last home kit being made by Puma following their short term deal to produce Newcastle’s uniform for one last season.
The shirt comes in a simple designing with the famous black and white stripes of the club, with the sleeves posing a mainly black colour.
Unlike the previous one, next season’s home kit for Steve Bruce’s side will have white Puma logos on the right chest and sleeves while the club’s crest will be on the left.
The jersey will be completed with black shorts and hooped socks to match the shirt.
The new home kit is set to be available for £65 starting Sunday, July 26.
On the released of the jersey, the magpies forward and Puma athlete Allan Saint-Maximin said: “As the supporters will know, me and my kids enjoyed wearing last season’s kit a lot but the new shirt looks great and I am looking forward to wearing it for the very first time on Sunday. I hope supporters will enjoy it too and we can be together again in black and white soon.”
