Manchester United Marcus Rashford is having a brilliant season so far, and his stellar performances this season have led to many considering him as one of the best players in the Premier League this season. He has been in sensational form since the start of the season and even replicated it for his country at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar where he was the joint-top scorer for England. The 25-year-old has had his ups and downs in his career ever since he took the world by storm at the age of 18 on that fateful day in February 2016.
His life off the pitch has often been in the news, but for all the right reasons, thanks to his tremendous work with charities and ensuring school children did not go hungry even during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has been a role model for people, young and old, and his work has greatly benefitted millions of people in the UK. Recently Rashford’s personal life was once again in the news, with a cause of celebration for the forward, as the Manchester United player confirmed through social media his engagement to childhood sweetheart Lucia Loi.
Lucia Loi has been a constant companion to Rashford, with the pair reportedly dating ever since their school days. The two have been together for almost ten years, but kept their romance under the wraps for a long time until they were seen together in 2018 at the World Cup. Neither posted any content of each other on social media till recently, when Marcus posted a photo of the two on his Instagram page.
Loi, like Rashford, was also born in Manchester and attended the same school as him. She then joined an Advertising and Brand Marketing program at Manchester Metropolitan University, with reports suggesting she was an excellent student. She currently works in a PR company called Sugar, providing services for press releases.
The news of their engagement was confirmed by the pair on social media in May 2022. They captioned the photo with the date of their engagement which was 24th May 2022. The two received many heartfelt congratulatory comments on the post from footballers of various clubs and countries and other social media presences.
