Marcus Rashford has been arguably one of the best players for Manchester United this season. The forward has put up excellent numbers this season with 14 goals and 7 assists in the Premier League. He has been a pivotal part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tactics and is in the race for the Golden Boot this season.

However, the Englishman is just a shell of the player he used to be before an injury disrupted his season. The 22-year-old is a whole different player after the lockdown. He has failed to score in the three Premier League matches he has started and has been far from the being among the best players on the pitch.

Since the signing of Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United have picked up their performances in all competitions. Anthony Martial has been a great example of players benefiting from the creativity of the Portuguese maestro. Before the January transfer window, if Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial did not perform, there were no other players in the squad who would take up the responsibility for the Red Devils. But since the signing of Bruno, when Martial or Rashford do not perform, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba along with Bruno himself make it a point that United play well and manage a win.

Marcus is yet to find his shooting boots. There are no issues with chance-creation like at the beginning of the season. The 22-year-old had a lot of chances against Sheffield United and Norwich City. Yet, Marcus struggled to find the net given the ample chances created for him. The 22-year-old has gone 8 shots in 3 games without hitting the back of the net.

The England international needs to find his feet as top four is just on the horizon. The remaining six fixtures of the Premier League could see them qualify for the Champions League next season. With important games coming up against Chelsea in the FA Cup and the Europa League returning next month, the forward must put on his shooting boots so as to make an impact in the final upcoming fixtures.
