Manchester United are reportedly willing to make a double swoop for Barcelona’s right back Nelson Semedo and wing wizard Ousmane Dembele, who have been on the news for different reasons which definitely plays a role in the speculation of a likely departure away from Camp Nou.

The Red Devils have been with only a decent right back after the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for an initial fee of £45 million, with another £5 million due in potential bonuses, during last summer window.

Upon signing for Manchester United, Wan-Bissaka became the sixth-most expensive defender of all time and the most expensive English player who was uncapped by the national side at the time of transfer.

Leaving Diogo Dalot has their only option for the right as back-up to AWB but the Portuguese having struggled with injuries this season, has played just 65 minutes in the Premier League and only made six additional appearances across the Europa League and FA Cup, which has increased Dalot’s desire to consider a search for regular playing time elsewhere.

The Sun’s recent report claims Solskjaer has changed his plans regarding Dalot and United are open to selling him, though would expect a sizeable offer similar to the fee they paid Porto in 2018.

Which has now opened the door for making Nelson Semedo signing a priority during summer window transfer, as he hasn’t also been getting a regular playing time at Barcelona.

Dembele hasn’t been able to stay fit for majority part of his time at the Blaugrana, which has now frustrated the Barcelona’s board, making him liable to a possible summer exit if the right offer is been tabled for his signature.

The circumstances surrounding both Nelson Semedo and Ousmane Dembele has boosted the chance for Manchester United in luring both players to Old Trafford this summer.

Though the transfer fee would be considerably high, but with the pandemic crisis affecting club’s finances, Barcelona might consider a lower fee this summer, if Manchester United eventually comes forward with a formal approach for the Barcelona players…
