West Ham United take the trip to take on Manchester City at Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Hammers are looking to secure at least a point which will likely move them out of the relegation zone while the Citizens are pursuing in a last attempt to delay their success.

A lot will be expected from Riyad Mahrez with Raheem Sterling set to miss the clash, and the Algeria international will be hoping to use this option to cement a permanent place in Guardiola’s team.

Manchester City have won each of their last seven Premier League meetings with West Ham, scoring 23 goals and conceding just three in reply.

West Ham have lost 20 of their 23 Premier League away games against reigning champions (W1 D2), with their only victory coming at Manchester United in December 2001 (1-0).

Manchester City have lost six Premier League games this season – as many as they had in their previous two campaigns combined. Manager Pep Guardiola has never lost seven matches in any of his previous 10 top-flight campaigns.

West Ham haven’t won any of their last 16 league games in which they’ve conceded at least once (D4 L12) since winning 3-1 at Watford in August. The Hammers haven’t kept a league clean sheet against Man City since November 2012, conceding in all 14 since.

TEAM NEWS

Pep Guardiola is set to be without Raheem Sterling for the next few weeks with the gaffer unsure how long the England international will be out with a hamstring injury. Benjamin Mendy and John Stones are in contention for selection but Oleksandr Zinchenko is suspended following his red card in the last game.

Following his Deadline Day switch from Hull City, Jarrod ,Bowen could be set to make his West Ham debut. Andriy Yarmolenko and Jack Wilshere continue to work their way back to fitness but Felipe Anderson could be involved.
