Multiple clubs have been linked with Lille’s highly regarded striker Victor Osimhen, and claims have been appearing about growing interests in the Frenchman and even about some potential offers going in to Lille.
The situation, as it stands, feels similar to Nicolas Pepe last year. There were all kinds of interests and offers for the Nigerian and as it appeared the rumour leaks were encouraged by both Lille and the sources close to the now Arsenal player.
Napoli, at a stage, were favorites to land Nicolas Pepe before Arsenal skipped ahead and agreed a mega deal for Nico.
As it appears, Lille are using similar techniques for Victor Osimhen, and alongside Napoli again, Liverpool & Tottenham are also part of that. Italian journalist Diego De Lucas via. AreaNapoli has reported that both the Premier League sides i.e. Liverpool and Tottenham have ‘offered €70m’ for Osimhen, which would (again) make things difficult for Napoli.
Whether any of club have offered such money for the player or not is another thing entirely, not all claims leaked last year around Nicolas Pepe were true, so you’d expect the same with Osimhen. And such price appears to be over the top, and even if either of Tottenham and Liverpool are serious, it’s very unlikely they’d go straight in with that figure irrespective of the current financial crisis.
