According to Express Sunday, Leicester City have identified Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierny as a possible replacement for Ben Chilwell should he leave this summer.
Ben Chilwell is thought to be a target for Chelsea and Manchester City with Frank Lampard’s side look more serious suitors as they look set to part ways with both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.
The England international, 23, has played out impressively well since breaking into the Foxes’ team with the current campaign highlighting his importance to the team, which has drawn attention from Frank Lampard.
Tierney arrived at Arsenal only last summer from Celtic in a £25 million deal but had been restricted to just five Premier League games having been struck with injuries.
But Brendan Rodgers side are willing to take the risk and bring him in for Chilwell if he departs to Stamford Bridge.
Kieran Tierney established himself as one of the best young left-back under Rodgers when the pair worked together at Celtic and the Leicester boss is willing to gamble on the services of the 22-year-old despite his lack of playing time.
Leicester City are in no rush to sell Ben Chilwell and are already holding talks with the England left-back over a new contract though his current deal has four years more.
It remains unclear whether Mikel Arteta will consider letting the Scottish go without proving himself at the Emirates Stadium but the emergence of Bukayo Saka could play a role in Arsenal’s decision making.
