Are we up for the match of the season? The weekend before international break is going to be awes poring courtesy of the match between Liverpool and Leicester City. The Foxes travel to Anfield this Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers will return to Anfield. The former Liverpool manager and present boss of Foxes, Rodgers has had a steaming start to this season. The Foxes are presently 3rd only to Liverpool and Manchester City and would be thumps up to break Liverpool’s winning streak.

Many of us would be expecting a flurry of goals in the game with Liverpool’s trio of Salah, Firmino and Mane getting back to their groove and the Vardy of 2015 returning for Leicester accompanied with a new beast in James Maddinson.

But the game may not be what it seems like. Liverpool and Leicester have only conceded five goals this season, lowest by any clubs. With Van Dijk and Matip handling the defence for Liverpool, Leicester too have rarely been tested by their opposition.

Leicester have already caused havoc in three of the top six clubs with crushing Tottenham and Manchester United and squaring off at Stamford Bridge. The Foxes have a knack of causing upsets when they travel and Liverpool can be one of their hunt.

The Reds sparsely cruised past Salzburg in the Champions League night where Matip was clearly missed. And if the Brazilian does not come back into the starting XI, the afternoon at Merseyside may turn Blue. The foxes have their heads high but the Champions of Europe are what they are for a reason.
