Bayern Munich and Manchester City have reportedly agreed a fee in the region of £54.8 million for the transfer of Leroy Sane, which is expected to be announced soon as pictures of Leroy in Bayern Munich’s jersey are leaked already.

Leroy Sane has signed a five-year deal at the Allianz Arena, with Bayern Munich expected to pay an initial fee of £44.7 million before a series of performance and trophy-related add-ons.

The additional fees could likely amount to the sum of £10 million with City also expected to bag 10 per cent profit in any future sale the German club will make with regards to Sane.

Leroy Sane has been long linked with a move back to Germany, which left the Manchester side in no pole position to continue their negotiation with the player for a new deal. He has just a year left on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium, with Pep Guardiola confirming last week that the player had made a decision to leave England.

It is said that the move back to his homeland will see him double his wages he was being offered by the Citizens to convince him to extend his stay at the club. Bayern will reportedly pay him around £20 million per year.

The Germany international just returned from a cruciate ligament knee injury sustained in their win over Liverpool in the Community Shield back in August. Sane’s absence was deeply felt this season in Guardiola’s fight to retain the Premier League title for another year, as he has played only 11 minutes.

He was signed for £36 million in the 2016 summer transfer window from Schalke, and with one year left of his contract City could be said to be making a good business with the valuation of his transfer to Bayern.

What’s your opinion on Leroy Sane’s transfer to Hansi Flick’s side? Good business?
