It is believed that Chelsea are readying a bid of up to £75 million for Havertz but Leverkusen are holding out for a fee close to £90 million.
The move could be heating up after all after the 20-year-old sent Chelsea fans into hysteria by liking a post that called for the Blues to add him to the squad.
“Announce Havertz” was the reply from one of the fans to a tweet from Chelsea confirming Werner’s initial message to Chelsea supporters.
The BayArena star though was not tagged in the reply, was quick to hit the like button, with the feedback prompting his interest in a move to the London club.
Havertz is not the only name on Chelsea’s wishlist as Lampard also eyes Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell but the gaffer could likely be seeing the last of players such as Pedro Rodriguez, Willian and Michy Batshuayi at the Bridge.
