Crystal Palace travel to Anfied to face Premier League leaders Liverpool on Tuesday.

Palace cruised to a smooth sailing victory against Bournemouth on the weekend, putting two goals past the Cherries without a response. The win lifted Roy Hodgson’s side into 9th place, leapfrogging Arsenal and putting them on level points with Tottenham Hotspur, also just four points away from Manchester United who are currently 5th.

Roy Hodgson’s side are inching closer toward setting the record for their highest ever point total in their top-flight and will be happy to even take away a point off of league leaders Liverpool.

The Eagles are currently enjoying a four game win streak, the first time in their history where they have gone four games in the top-flight without conceding a goal. The arrival of Roy Hodgson back in 2017 gave the club and its players some much needed stability and they have now moved on to competing for Europe as opposed to fighting in the relegation battle.

Liverpool are just five points away from their first league title in 30 years, and Jurgen Klopp will expect his team to take away three points from this fixture after being held to a 0-0 draw against Everton on Sunday.

This is how Crystal Palace could lineup at Anfield (4-3-3):

The Spaniard Vicente Guaita has established himself as a regular under Roy Hodgson and is expected to start against Liverpool.

Joel Ward and Van Aanholt have been regulars at right back and left back this season and have provided ample support to the attackers with their versatility.

Chelsea loanee Gary Cahill also has solidified his place alongside Scott Dann as the manager’s preferred defensive duo.

Crystal Palace’s midfield of Luka Milivojevic, James McArthur and Cheikhou Kouyate have been undisputed starters in the middle of the park for the Eagles this season.

Club captain Milivojevic scored an impressive free kick against Bournemouth, and has regularly assisted and scored goals going forward, while the duo of McArthur and Kouyate have provided important protection to the backline.

Wilfried Zaha has seen a massive slack in form since transfer rumours linking him to top Premier League clubs emerged in the summer. The Ivory Coast international has scored only thrice in the league in more than thirty appearances for the Eagles this season but still has contributed massively to the team going forward.

Jordan Ayew has been the star performer for Crystal Palace in the league this season. His nine league goals till now has been his best single-season tally in the Premier League. The Ghana international has been instrumental for them, contributing the most points to the club and his services will again be called upon against Liverpool.

Andros Townsend has formed a formidable partnership with Zaha and Ayew in the Palace frontline and the 28-year-old is once again expected to be deployed from the right flank.
