Dijon attacker Mounir Chouiar has developed a name for being the next big talented Frenchman upcoming in the Ligue 1 and when you’re this talented and performing impressively on consistent basis, you will certainly generate interests from around Europe. Crystal Palace seems to be one of those clubs.

The way Roy Hudgson deploys his resources at Crystal Palace, they seem to get alot wide with likes of Wilfred Zaha cutting in. But there’s only lot a man can do by himself. Though Wilfred Zaha is versatile enough to feature anywhere in the front three, Palace lack someone to accompany him and match the threat he possess on the other side.

Which explains Palace’s interest in FC Dijon winger Mounir Chouiar.

Mounir-Chouiar

Mounir joined Dijon from Lens in the summer and has made an immediate impact for his new employers, as the 21-year-old netted eight in twenty-eight appearances in all competitions for Les Rouges this season.

Despite joining for only 3.5m million euros in the summer, Chouiar is valued at around €10m by Dijon as of now, which seems pretty affordable for the Eagles.

According to report from Le Foot in France, Crystal Palace aren’t the only Premier League club interested in his services with likes of AFC Bournemouth and Watford also eyeing the Frenchman. Likes of Eibar and Marseille are also termed interested in his services.

Though there is no concrete interest expressed by Palace, though they will be keeping eye on him as Chouiar is one of the talents, who like Zaha is versatile upfront with pin point crossing and the youngster has developed a reputation of one of Ligue 1’s most potent dribbler.
