Chelsea are reportedly willing to cash in on forward Michy Batshuayi this summer amid interest from clubs within the Premier League. And the Blues have placed a £20 million price tag on the out of favour attacker as interest begins to intensify.
The Belgium international has not had many opportunities to impress for the club since joining them from Olympique Marseille in 2016.
Batshuayi has had to enjoy loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and recently Crystal Palace before returning to the club last summer.
And the 2019/20 campaign was another frustrating one for the 26-year-old who dropped down the pecking order at the Stamford Bridge after Tammy Abraham was rated ahead of him by manager Frank Lampard.
He made 20 appearances combined in the Premier League and the Champions League in the just ended campaign, with only one being a start.
In his outings in those competitions, the Belgian was involved in three goals, scoring one apiece in the domestic league and the European competition combined, while his only assist came in the English top flight.
However, Het Laatste Nieuws suggests that the west London outfit still want to recoup as much as £20 million for the player ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
Leeds United are believed to be one of many clubs who are considering an offer for the forward, having secured promotion back into the Premier League after 16 years absence.
Following the arrival of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig this summer, Batshuayi is likely to have little or no minutes at the Stamford Bridge under Lampard’s guidance, and a move to the Elland Road would be a good decision as he would be promised regular playing time.
Nevertheless, the Whites will have to fork out a whopping £20 million in order to add the one time Premier League winner to their squad for next season.
