With Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner officially set to join Chelsea, their attacking options look all set for the upcoming season.

The Blues now have the young and talented options of Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech and Michy Batshuayi upfront. While ageing players like Willian and Pedro set to leave the club after the on-going season ends, Olivier Giroud’s place under Frank Lampard is also in grave danger.

The Frenchman is 33-years-old and his best years are arguably behind him. A move to another club would be the best option for him as Lampard aims to develop a young squad.

While various Italian clubs are looking to sign him, a move to Inter looks the most likely. A target man, Giroud would best suit in Antonio Conte’s system as Inter hope to challenge better for the title next season after already strengthening their squad with Moroccan Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid.

According to Tuttosport, the Frenchman is believed to be the ‘first choice’ for Antonio Conte at this position.

Having previously worked with Conte at Stamford Bridge, their is not a doubt that the 33-year-old would mind playing under him.

Giroud signed a contract extension which would keep him at Stamford Bridge next season but a move looks likely given the happenings in South West London. The Frenchman has only made 15 appearances this season as Tammy Abraham recovered from an injury but one could not see him starting for Frank Lampard next season.
