Romanian wonderkid Catalin Cirjan has put pen to his professional contract with Arsenal. The 17-year-old was signed by the Gunners from Romanian side Viitorul Domnesti in the summer. He’s seen in a bright light amongst the Arsenal hierarchy after being extensively scouted before being signed.
Crijan has been impressive in his eight apperance for the U-18s. The young Romanian has laid three assits in five starts for Arsenal in the youth version of Premier League. His most impressive performance came in against Aston Villa when he provided two assist in a 5-1 win.
However his contact details have been released yet.
Even though Catalin Cirjan is expected to have a bright future at the North London club but his immediate future is far away from the first team. As he already have a lot of competition before him.
For now, his target should be to getting himself into the U-23s. If he can continue his fine form in the reserves team he might just have a shot at the first team with players like Mesut Özil getting older and then attacking prospects like Bukayo Saka, Reiss Nelson and Dani Cabellos aren’t really a natural No.10. Leaving him and Emile Smith-Rowe as the only competition for the coveted No.10 spot.
