Arsenal Transfer Roundup: Sanllehi Leaves, Partey have other Suitors, Lacazette Wanted

Arsenal have been enjoying their victory in the final of the FA Cup against Chelsea, however, their backroom team must be back to work as they don’t have much time to flex their muscles in the transfer market. Hence, keeping up with the reports we bring to you the latest transfer rumours regarding the Gunners.

Serie A giants Juventus have joined Arsenal in the race for Atlético Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey. The Ghanaian international has been a long term target for the North London giants, however, with the Italian side joining the race for Partey things could get tricky for Arsenal.

Juventus are reportedly looking to offer Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi in exchange for the midfielder. They value Costa and Bernardeschi the same as Partey and hence it is expected to be a straight player swap deal.

Philippe Coutinho have made headlines again with his impressive performance against parent club Barcelona in the Champions League. He has been widely linked with Arsenal off late and while the Gunners are reportedly not interested in his services as of now, his consistent displays could persuade the Gunners to think otherwise.

Arsenal’s summer transfer plans have taken a huge blow as their head of football, Raul Sanllehi has left the club. Raul was brought in from Barcelona and has since overseen the recruitment process at the Emirates. The reason behind the Spaniard’s departure is still unclear but a recent statement released by Raul Sanllehi himself, the decision was made due to the financial crisis caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Juventus have reportedly decided to make an attempt to sign Arsenal’s French’s striker Alexandre Lacazette. The Serie A side has been monitoring the 29-year-old since some time, however, it is only now that they have decided to approach the English side. Andre Pirlo, Juventus’s new manager Andre reportedly likes the Frenchman and what he brings to the side.
