Andreas Pereira could be on his way out of Manchester United this summer.
The player has dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford having returned from his loan spells in Spain. He has been in and out of the United team since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at the club. And despite a strong start to the season, Pereira has found little opportunities coming his way.
He is reportedly attracting interest from Spain, Germany and Portugal per reports in England which could see him leave his boyhood club on a permanent deal.
The player who was expected to be one of the best players at the club following his performances in the youth side has found his development retrogressed in the past few years and has had to enjoy loan stints away from the Premier League side.
Pereira is reported to be keen on gaining more playing time having been restricted to few outings with the Red Devils and he is also willing to resist attempts from Solskjaer to stay at United.
A return back to Valencia has not been ruled out of the question with the Spanish side’s president Peter Lim believed to be interested in bringing the midfielder back to the Mestalla Stadium in the summer. The Spanish club are looking to bring in new additions to the team having offloaded some of their key players ahead of the 2020/21 season.
They have lost midfield duo Dani Parejo and Francis Coquelin to rivals Villarreal while also offloading Ferran Torres to Manchester City.
In the 2019/20 season, Pereira has played 40 games for the Red Devils with most of them coming as a substitute. He has been involved in six goals for the club – scoring two and adding a further four assists.
He is also with the United squad as they prepare for the Europa League semi-final clash against Sevilla.
