As per reports, Liverpool are interested in making a move for Schalke star Amine Harit with them reportedly sending scouts to watch the 22-year old.

The Morocco international has already made 7 appearances for his country. Harit has bagged 5 goals and 4 assists in 13 games in all competitions this season and has caught the eye of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Harit has previously been compared to French Legend, Zinedine Zidane. He plays elegantly and with comfort between the lines of the opposition midfield and defence.

Schalke have already produced some of the biggest stars in World Football in Leroy Sane, Mesut Ozil, Ilkay Gundogan and Julian Draxler. And it seems that Harit is about to join that star-studded list.

Although Liverpool fans would be pretty excited with the prospect of signing the talented youngster, his signing could make life difficult for Liverpool star Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Swiss superstar, who returned to training on Tuesday after suffering a calf-injury, has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield. The 28-year old is a natural number 10, but Klopp favors playing him on the right wing, allowing him to cut inside.

Harit prefers to play as a central attacking midfielder, but is comfortable playing on either wing as well. This fact is something that will worry Shaqiri, as he will have a direct competitor.

If Liverpool are somehow able to strike a deal with Schalke for the signature of Harit, it will be disastrous for Shaqiri as he would have to face competition, while his appearances are already diminishing, and could mean that the Swiss could be on the move.
