Newcastle United sets sights on Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella

Newcastle United are looking to bid £30 million for left-back Marc Cucurella who was purchased by Chelsea‘s new owner for £60 million in their recent spending spree.

The Magpies seem to be going all guns blazing in this transfer window. Literally every transfer news that we are encountering has one interested party in common and that’s Newcastle. Is it really a strategy that they are adopting to go for all and get a few or they are unaware of their tactics; obviously the former considering how good their decisions over the last two years has been.

Eyebrows were definitely raised last season when the Blues spent £60 million for Brighton’s then defender who hasn’t played near the money spent on him. The Spaniard struggled the whole season but still has admirers in the Premier League in Newcastle United.

Newcastle United have qualified for the Champions League for the first time in ages and in a bid to conquer their dominance in Europe as well, the Sheikhs along with Eddie Howe are adamant about strengthening their squad.

The former Bournemouth manager wants to welcome a lot of new faces at St. James Park with Arsenal’s left-back Kieran Tierney also under his radar. He already has the world’s best full-back in Kieran Trippier and wants the Englishman to have a like-to-like attacking partner in the opposite flank.

Newcastle have supposedly bid £30 million for the 24-year-old whom Chelsea would be wanting to let go of as they try to balance their books as well as give a stable squad to Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine has displayed his interest in £80 million Moises Caicedo and is also willing to pay Valencia a release clause of £35 million in a bid to lure their forward Nicolas Jackson.

Apart from Cucurela, Chelsea are also looking to get rid of Mason Mount for over £50 million to their arch-rivals Manchester United and Kai Havertz to either Bayern Munich or Arsenal as the eye £75 million for the German.
