Luka Jovic was one of the most sort after player at the time Real Madrid laid the red carpet for his services after Jovic’s prolific goal scoring form with Eintracht Frankfurt.
In 2018/2019 season, Luka Jovic took the world by storm, firing on all cylinders, terrorizing the Bundesliga on a consistent basis, scoring an impressive 17 goals in 32 league matches.
His performance earned him a move to Real Madrid for a reported €60 million, on a six years contract.
Jovic was set to be a household name leading the line at Santiago Bernabeu and a potential long term successor for Karim Benzema but things just didn’t turned his way. In fifteen La Liga appearances, Luka has managed to find the net only on two occasions.
Due to continual struggles leading the attack, Real Madrid are now reported ready to listen to offers for the Serbian international which has triggered the interest of some big clubs especially Arsenal, due to the present saga on Aubameyang’s contract extension.
At 22, considering how young and talented Jovic is, it will be worth the risk to get him sign for Arsenal and with Arteta been the coach, hopefully, he (Arteta) will be able to bring him back to his best scoring form once again.
If Arsenal fails to extend their 31-years-old striker’s deal this summer, it will be wise to sell him this season rather than allowing him go for free when his contract ends next summer and reinvest the money from his sale to sign Jovic, which might come cheaper this season…
