Bruno Fernandes has finally broken the ice on his move to Manchester United. The Portuguese was spotted at the airport with his close friend as he appeared to board a flight to Manchester United.
The number 8 of Sporting Lisbon seems to have agreed terms with both the teams and is also reported to have selected his number. The Red Devils launched a new deal of around £80 million for the midfielder (£55 million plus £25 million in bonuses) which seems to be welcomed by Lisbon.
It is presumed that the midfielder is travelling to United to put pen-to-paper to a four-and-a-half year contract with a provision of extension for one year.
Fernandes’ close friend Carolina Deslandes’s Instagram post further increased the rumours of Bruno joining United as she uploaded a story of the duo with an aeroplane emoji alongside.
He was even stopped by the reporters around his house before leaving for Manchester. And when asked if Premier League was going to be his destination, he said,” It always, was.”

Manchester United have two number jerseys at their disposal. The big number 7 jerseys which has been worn by David Beckham, Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo is vacant from the time Alexis Sanchez left for Inter.
Even the number 11 shirt of Ryan Giggs’ is available after Ashley Young left for Inter, a few days ago. Bruno Fernandes is close on sealing a move to United and may well opt for either number with number 7 likely being his first choice.
Few hours from now and we’ll surely have a new midfielder taking over the Red jersey of United. A happy deal for United fans, finally!
