Spurs’ can’t catch a breath, can they? – Daniel Levy & Co. gave their go-ahead to Rennes to travel to London calming their scheduled Europa Conference League fixture will go ahead amid Covid outbreak in the Tottenham camp, only for them to cancel on their commitments in the eleventh hour which left Rennes as well as UEFA tinkled.

UEFA released a statement today confirming that the postponed match between Tottenham Hotspur and Rennes that was scheduled to be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will not be played. The statement by the Union of European Football Associations confirms that the outcome of the match will be decided by the UEFA Control, Ethics, and Disciplinary Body with both the clubs unable to find a common ground on rescheduling the fixture.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Sky Sports’ journalist Paul Gilmour insists that a 3-0 win for Rennes is likely to conduct now.

As from Spurs’ view, Tottenham stands third in their Europa Conference League Group G with seven points from five games – so a 3-0 win for Rennes means Antonio Conte’s side would be knocked out of the competition. In my opinion, that’s a good thing – this third-wheel competition didn’t matter anyway and this would mean Antonio Conte goes all in on the Premier League top-four contention.
