Newcastle United will reportedly listen to offers for Dwight Gayle in January.

According to a Q&A session in the Chronicle by Mark Douglas, Newcastle will listen to offers for the Striker. However, they will not make him available publicly.

If the 29-year old leaves, Newcastle will try to sign a replacement for him. Their attacking department has struggled this season, with Joelinton, Andy Carroll and Dwight Gayle having scored a single goal among them, and lack depth in the same.

Multiple Championship clubs might be lining up for Gayle in January given his goal-scoring record last season, where he bagged 24 goals for West Brom. And reportedly, they want him back. Gayle has scored a total of 59 goals in his 100 Championship appearances but hasn’t managed to continue his form in the Premier League.

Gayle has only scored 21 goals in his 101 Premier League appearances. He has only played 4 minutes this season, and has fallen down the pecking order at Newcastle, meaning that he could be moving on to greener pastures in January.

It could be best for everyone if Gayle left Newcastle in January. The striker could find his form somewhere else with regular appearances, while Newcastle could use the funds to sign a more Prolific striker.

Multiple Championship clubs will have a keen eye on Gayle, and could break out a bidding war if he is made publicly available in January.
