Manchester City loanee expresses desire over move away from Etihad

Sporting Lisbon, regarded as one of Portuguese’ finest footballing Institutes, finally conquered their first league title in nineteen years and it’s obviously everything the local media are talking about. And as expected, one of them has to be related to Pedro Porro.

The Spaniard has made an impact since his arrival on loan from Manchester City and has been one of Sporting’s most important players in this campaign.

Pedro Porro has a contract with Sporting till 2022 and there are no doubts that the Lions will trigger his buying clause of €8.5 million soon. The 21-year-old spoke to local media admitting his willingness to stay in Lisbon beyond his current agreement.

“I wasn’t expecting to have an impact on the team. I’d like to stay, but now I want to celebrate,” said Porro (via. Record).

They also highlight that Pedro had been nursing an injury and when he tried to feature in Sporting’s title-winning match – he could barely stay on his feet for seventeen minutes before leaving in tears.

“The important thing was to support the team. The union made the force,” Porro said.

Porro had made thirty-seven appearances for Sporting CP this season, and there are various claims in Portuguese media over when they will trigger the buyout clause. As there were reports easier this week about big offers arriving once that clause is triggered.
