Manchester City are the team to beat in Europe! After not so impressive last year and a tumbling start to the season, Pep’s master class is back. Manchester City now are definitely the title favorites and someone pulling them down will be nothing less than a miracle. But the only man who knows this team better than anyone is Mikel Arteta. Pep and Arteta have shared great relationship in the past and now the battle of two great minds will be fought at the Emirates.

Arsenal might have started the season being embarrassed but their faith in Arteta has definitely helped them earn respect back in the league and have overcome big oppositions in the course to prove their metal. They come into the game after a hard fought battle against Benfica in the Europa league and might have many tired legs especially considering when you got to face a technically equipped Manchester City squad.

After making a comeback off the bench in Arsenal’s Europa League game, Kieran Tierney will be eager to make a Premier League comeback. Thomas Partey will be assessed before the game and thus is still a doubt for the game. The rest of the team will be fighting for the starting spot and try to prove a metal.

Biggest boost for the Blue side of Manchester is delighted with İlkay Gündoğan most likely to be fit for the game. He definitely has been the league’s standout performer and has stepped at the moment when City was missing star players like Aguero and KDB. Him being fit will just leave Nathan Ake being the only unfit player in the team for Pep.

Predicted Line-ups

Arsenal: Leno; Bellerin, Holding, Luiz, Tierney; Ceballos, Xhaka; Saka, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang; Lacazette

Manchester City: Ederson; Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Sterling, Foden

PREDICTIONS

While the Manchester club looks favorites for the contest, Aubameyang and co could definitely spoil their party and may give the league a very new twist. The league will definitely not be ready for such a result but ruling out any possibility this year will be a very bad thought. We still predict Pep to get better of the London side and march closer to the coveted trophy.

Arsenal 0-2 Manchester City
