Following Dean Henderson’s announcement about his departure from Sheffield United amid a return to Manchester United, the Blades have swiftly moved to secure the signing of Bournemouth highly-rated stopper, who left The Cherries after their unfortunate relegation to the Championship last season.
Sheffield United completed Aaron Ramsdale signing for a reported £18.5 million fee and the 22-year-old penned a four-year deal as he returns to Bramall Lane, four years after leaving the Yorkshire club.
With Dean Henderson almost finalising a long-term contract with the Red Devils, De Gea’s future at Old Trafford now looks to be uncertain, considering the fact that none of the goalkeeper will want to start from the bench next season.
De Gea been a top quality goalkeeper who is currently going through a rough patch, the potential competition for a starting berth with Dean Henderson next campaign might trigger the Spaniard to consider several alternatives during this summer.
While next season is ascertained to be Dean Henderson’s chance to prove to the Red Devils his readiness as a long-term solution to United’s recent goalkeeping nightmares.
