Barcelona youngster Marc Jurado looks all set for a potential move to Manchester United after he confirmed his decision to leave the Spaniah club.
The teenager has been reported to be one of Barcelona academy’s brightest talent but his performance justifies such claim.
However, he posted a farewell message to on his Instagram account on Monday to appreciate the role of the club in his development.
Jurado’s post read: “It’s never easy to leave a team that has given you everything. FC Barcelona has been my second home, my second family, where I have developed as a player and as a person.
“Today it’s time to say goodbye, but not before expressing my gratitude to each of the people who have helped me since I started in the prebenjamín in the year 2011.
“I have been lucky to share my passion with a fantastic generation, with which I will always be linked.”
Official confirmation of his next club is yet to be made but the Red Devils are believed to be his next choice, having been heavily linked with the 16-year-old.
Per reports from Metro, United were said to have agreed terms with the young right-back earlier this year.
The report also went on to say the defender turned down the chance to sign a lucrative long-term deal at the Nou Camp, as he sees the Old Trafford offer as ideal.
With the player not signing a professional contract with Barcelona yet, the English side are expected to pay compensation to the Spanish club, as he has been with them since the age of seven.
Jurado’s post added: “We started as boys who just wanted to run after a ball and I say goodbye, nine years later, calling them friends.
“Only we know the immense luck we have had with all the coaches who have developed us and helped us to keep fulfilling our dreams.
“Every stage has a beginning and an end. Mine, having reflected a lot with my family, has come. I leave behind unforgettable memories which will always stay with me.”
