Kai Havertz sends fans into a frenzy after social media activity

Kai Havertz appears to have teased Chelsea after with his latest activity on a social media post.

The Bayer Leverkusen prodigy is on the Chelsea’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window. Kai Havertz liked a tweet which was urging Chelsea to ‘Announce Havertz‘, which has got many fans excited already.

Havertz hinted he could be heading to the Stamford Bridge after the club made official the signing of RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.

Frank Lampard’s team announced the swooping of the 24-year-old in a deal worth £50 million, with the Germany international set to join his new team in July subject to passing a medical.

Chelsea are looking aggressively in the transfer market having already snapped up Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, as they aim to catch Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of next season’s Premier League charge.

Werner in a video on Thursday confirmed he was making a move to west London, but he may likely not be the only German coup for the club in the upcoming transfer window.

It is believed that Chelsea are readying a bid of up to £75 million for Havertz but Leverkusen are holding out for a fee close to £90 million.

The move could be heating up after all after the 20-year-old sent Chelsea fans into hysteria by liking a post that called for the Blues to add him to the squad.

“Announce Havertz” was the reply from one of the fans to a tweet from Chelsea confirming Werner’s initial message to Chelsea supporters.

The BayArena star though was not tagged in the reply, was quick to hit the like button, with the feedback prompting his interest in a move to the London club.

Havertz is not the only name on Chelsea’s wishlist as Lampard also eyes Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell but the gaffer could likely be seeing the last of players such as Pedro Rodriguez, Willian and Michy Batshuayi at the Bridge.
