Real Madrid and PSG have received a massive boost in their pursuit of Chelsea midfield mainstay Enzo Fernandez.

Fernandez’s future has become a major talking point off late with the Argentine World Cup winner is not pleased with Chelsea’s project and is considering leaving the London club this summer.

According to a report from Fichajes, Fernandez is ready to push for a move away from the London club, which is a massive boost for both Real Madrid and PSG, who are very keen on signing the midfield star.

Just months after joining Benfica from River Plate, the 25-year-old had a dream run at the World Cup with the Argentine national team. He played a massive part in their triumph, and it led to a big-money move to the London club at the start of 2023.

Over the last few seasons, Fernandez has established himself as a key figure in the team, and his work has not gone unnoticed. In the ongoing campaign, the Argentine international has been involved in 43 games across competitions and has contributed towards 18 goals, scoring 12 and providing six assists.

While he prefers playing as a central midfielder, Fernandez has been equally effective in a variety of roles in midfield.

The Blues have him tied to a contract that runs until 2032, but they are worried about his future, as he could push for an exit this summer. The 25-year-old is not pleased with the direction their project is heading, and is seriously considering an exit.

The sacking of Enzo Maresca did not go down well with the player.

The instability at the club is one of the major reasons why he is ready to secure a move away. The defeat to PSG in the Champions League has not helped either. Fernandez wants to compete for major trophies and the current situation at Chelsea does not align with his ambitions.

Real Madrid and PSG ready to break bank for Enzo Fernandez

With Fernandez ready to switch clubs, Real Madrid and PSG are ready to pounce.

Los Blancos consider him an ideal fit for their system. They believe he could fill the void left by Toni Kroos and help them better control the tempo of games.

The French giants are also ready to break the bank for him as they believe he could form a dream trio alongside Vitinha and Joao Neves.

His contract until 2032 means Chelsea hold significant negotiating power, but if Fernandez genuinely pushes for an exit, the London club may be forced to consider offers.

Chelsea paid a British record fee to sign Fernandez from Benfica in 2023. Losing him just three years later would represent a significant blow to their project. However, the instability at Stamford Bridge has created an environment where top players are questioning their futures.

Real Madrid can offer Champions League football and the chance to compete for La Liga titles.

PSG provide a similar platform in Ligue 1 with significant financial resources.

Both clubs represent more stable projects than Chelsea’s current situation. Whether Chelsea resist selling their World Cup-winning midfielder or accept a substantial offer remains to be seen, but Fernandez appears determined to explore his options this summer.
