Tottenham Hotspur welcome Manchester United to north London for a Saturday lunchtime that promises tempo and tension. Thomas Frank’s side rediscovered their edge in midweek, smashing Copenhagen 4-0 after back-to-back defeats to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup and Chelsea in the league. Consistency remains the question; the response in Europe was the answer—at least for now.

Man United arrive eighth, fresh from a point snatched at the City Ground thanks to Amad Diallo’s late heroics. That draw halted a three-match winning run over Brighton, Liverpool and Sunderland. Ruben Amorim’s system is knitting together, but the margin for error on the road is slim.

Spurs sit sixth after 10 games under Frank. The floor and ceiling have both been visible in recent weeks. If the engine room holds its shape, the home side will fancy edging a tight one.

Tottenham vs Man United kick-off time

The match is scheduled for 12.30pm GMT on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The lunchtime slot sets the tone: quick starts, sharper details, and little room for drift.

For Spurs, the injury picture is largely unchanged. Mohammed Kudus missed the Copenhagen squad with a knock. Djed Spence returned to the bench and replaced Destiny Udogie at left-back in the second half. Lucas Bergvall was out with concussion and faces a race to make this one. Several absentees are targeting a return after the next international break, so Dominic Solanke, Kota Takai, Radu Dragusin, Archie Gray, Yves Bissouma and Ben Davies are unlikely to feature.

For Man United, Lisandro Martinez is nearing the end of his ACL recovery. Amorim revealed the defender wanted minutes against Nottingham Forest, but staff chose caution. A return here is possible, yet the more likely timeline is after the international window.

Predicted lineups and tactical view

Tottenham predicted lineup vs Man United: Guglielmo Vicario; Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Djed Spence; Joao Palhinha, Rodrigo Bentancur; Xavi Simons; Mohammed Kudus, Randal Kolo Muani, Wilson Odobert.

That shape gives Spurs ball-winning steel in the pivot and direct threat wide. Kudus’ status depends on late checks, but his vertical carries tilt the pitch when he’s available.

Man United predicted lineup vs Tottenham: Maarten Lammens; Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Luke Shaw; Amad Diallo, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Patrick Dorgu; Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha; Benjamin Sesko.

Amorim’s front three are starting to click, while Fernandes is adjusting inside the midfield pivot to speed up United’s play through the middle.

The hinge point is midfield. If Rodrigo Bentancur and Joao Palhinha close lanes early, Spurs can break rhythm and spring forward through Simons. United’s width threatens in transition; Spurs’ rest defence must be switched on against direct runners.

Spurs vs Man United prediction

Two kings of inconsistency meet with momentum up for grabs. Spurs looked cleaner in key phases against Copenhagen, and home control may count. United’s improved cohesion is real, but the edges favour the hosts if they win duels in the engine room.

Prediction: Tottenham to win, 2-1.
