Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly eager to facilitate Bruno Fernandes transfer to Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese star aims to assist a Saudi club in acquiring his compatriot. He previously attempted to persuade the Manchester United captain to move during the recent transfer window. This ongoing pursuit highlights the financial power and ambition of Saudi Pro League clubs.

Cristiano Ronaldo push for Bruno Fernandes transfer

According to CaughtOffside, Cristiano Ronaldo is determined to bring Bruno Fernandes to the Middle East. The Al-Nassr star is reportedly keen to have his fellow Portuguese international join him in the Saudi Pro League. He apparently made an effort to entice the Manchester United midfielder during the last transfer window.

Fernandes has been a crucial player for Man United since his arrival from Sporting CP in 2020. Despite United’s struggles last season, the 31-year-old still managed an impressive 19 goals and 19 assists in 57 appearances. He remains a key figure at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese international attracted considerable interest during the summer transfer window. Clubs in the Middle East were prepared to make substantial offers for the former Sporting CP star. However, Fernandes made it clear that his priority was to remain at Old Trafford.

Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad both made attempts to sign the 31-year-old in recent months. Cristiano Ronaldo spearheaded Al-Nassr’s efforts, directly contacting his countryman. Despite Ronaldo’s attempts to reunite with Fernandes, the midfielder chose to stay with Manchester United.

Manchester United’s potential future decision

Even Jorge Jesus made several attempts to persuade the Manchester United captain to move to the Middle East, but without success. However, reports suggest that Fernandes’s situation could change in the coming months, making him a player to watch in January 2026.

While Manchester United have been reluctant to sell their captain, they are aware that the opportunity to generate significant funds from his sale is diminishing. As a result, the Red Devils may soon have another opportunity to raise funds through his departure.

Given the club’s financial situation, it would not be surprising if they decided to let him leave. Meanwhile, Ronaldo may renew his efforts to bring his countryman to the Middle East next year.
