Leicester City will clash with fellow promoted side Ipswich Town at the Portman Road Stadium this afternoon.
A clash between relegation candidates is always a six-pointer, and this match is a must-win for both managers. The Tractor Boys are still searching for their first Premier League win of the season and sit in the relegation zone. On the other hand, Leicester have suffered back-to-back defeats and will be looking to bounce back strongly.
Here’s the predicted Leicester City lineup to face Ipswich Town on November 2.
Goalkeeper
Mads Hermansen
Despite the high amount of goals Leicester have conceded this season, Hermansen has been outstanding and is arguably the best player on the team.
Defenders
Ricardo Pereira, Wout Faes, Caleb Okoli, Victor Kristiansen
The amount of mistakes James Justin has made this season is unacceptable for a Premier League defender. Steve Cooper started Pereira against Nottingham Forest and should keep him in the lineup against Ipswich. Even though Kristiansen is an attacking fullback, surely he will make fewer mistakes than Justin has?
Midfielders
Harry Winks, Wilfred Ndidi, Bilal El Khannouss
El Khannouss got his first goal for Leicester against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup earlier this week. With Abdul Fatawu doubtful for the game, the Morrocco international should stay in the starting eleven. Ndidi and Winks are Leicester’s best midfield combination, and they get the nod against Ipswich. Although the Foxes look more solid defensively with Oliver Skipp in the team, they tend to lack control of the game due to Winks’ absence.
Forwards
Facundo Buonanotte, Jamie Vardy, Stephy Mavididi
With Fatawu out, Buonanotte returns to right-wing. Vardy has been in good form this season and will start as captain, with Mavididi supporting him on the left flank. Mavididi has been poor in the last couple of games, and he may be dropped for Jordan Ayew should he continue to struggle.
