Leicester City will welcome Bournemouth to the King Power Stadium this Saturday in a must-win game for the Foxes. Steve Cooper’s men remain winless in the Premier League and will want to go into the upcoming international break with an additional three points in the bank. Here’s the predicted Leicester City lineup to face Bournemouth on October 5.
Goalkeeper
Mads Hermansen
Produced a heroic performance against Arsenal, almost earning the Foxes a point at the Etihad Stadium. Hermansen has been one of the top keepers in the Premier League this season and is the first name on the team sheet.
Defenders
James Justin, Caleb Okoli, Wout Faes, Victor Kristiansen
Cooper is unlikely to change his defensive lineup against Bournemouth. While Justin was shaky defensively against Arsenal, he did score a brace. On the other flank, Kristiansen defended fairly well last game and is expected to keep his spot in the lineup. Okoli and Faes are forming a good partnership in the back and will hope for a first clean sheet this season against the Cherries.
Midfielders
Harry Winks, Wilfred Ndidi; Bilal El Khannouss
Ndidi has been Leicester’s best midfielder this season and has been excellent with his defensive and creative duties. Due to home advantage, the Foxes will want to be a bit more attacking, and Cooper will likely drop Skipp for El Khannouss. Winks needs to be a bit more disciplined defensively, but his creativity is integral to the team.
Forwards
Facundo Buonanotte, Jamie Vardy, Stephy Mavididi
Buonanotte showed a lot of heart and determination against Arsenal and should continue as the right winger. Vardy and Mavididi have solidified their places in the starting eleven over the past few weeks and are expected to start against Bournemouth. Abdul Fatawu, the sole scorer in last season’s memorable win against the Cherries, will be disappointed to be on the bench but will likely come on as a substitute in the second half.
